Nilesh BathiaNilesh Bathia - Solicitor
Healthcare, London

I joined Weightmans in 2001 as a Paralegal in the Leicester office. I subsequently obtained a Training Contract in the London office, gaining experience in numerous departments, along with a high profile Public Inquiry and three secondments with clients.  I qualified as a solicitor in September 2005 into Healthcare, assisting a Partner in multi-million pound clinical negligence cases and handling my own caseload.  I am fortunate to have worked in two Weightmans offices, gaining exposure to people all over the practice, at all levels. From my early days as a junior Paralegal, I have been given the opportunity to fulfil my potential, along with a supportive environment. I value the relationship I have with my immediate supervisors, my peers and also the friendly and relaxed culture across the practice.

Rebecca PaytonRebecca Payton - Solicitor
Disease team, Leicester
I began working for Weightmans in 2000 as a secretary, after gaining my law degree and Masters in law. I completed the LPC part-time whilst working for the practice. I did my training contract in our Midlands offices. There is a very friendly and supportive culture at Weightmans  and our comprehensive training programmes facilitate continued development. I qualified in 2003 and since that date have worked in the Leicester office, in the Disease team. I handle fast and multi track claims involving Work Related Upper Limb Disorders, Vibration White Finger, dermatitis and respiratory diseases. There is a great deal of variety in the matters I handle and I enjoy the challenges and responsibilities of handling complex claims.

Tom MurphyTom Murphy - Operations Manager
Debt Recovery team, Liverpool
I was employed by Weightmans Debt Recovery team in January 2006 as a Paralegal within the Pre-Litigation team.  Working within the Debt Recovery team has allowed me the opportunity to attend a wide range of training courses.  This has accelerated my development having being promoted to Team Leader of the Insolvency Section and more recently to Operations Manager.   During my time at Weightmans, I have met a broad spectrum of people and personalities who I found sociable and approachable as well as committed and professional.  I have extremely enjoyed my time with Weightmans to date, the people, the environment and the quality of service we provide.
