Weightmans Employment department are pleased to be hosting a
series of seminars throughout Autumn 2011.
There will be three different subjects in the series, hosted in
several locations across the UK. Please see below for
more information on the Absence Management session, along
with dates and locations.
This session will look at both how to handle long term absentees
and also those employees who have persistent short term absence. We
will review: what you can do; the process to follow; and the
pitfalls associated with this important (but difficult) issue.
Ensuring effective absence management needs to fit with your
disability discrimination obligations, particularly following the
changes brought in by the Equality Act. The session will pinpoint
the key do's and don'ts, and our top tips on the best way to handle
absent staff.
