Dealing with tenders and contracts can be
daunting if they involve the transfer of staff under TUPE - the
Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations
2006.
Many of you will have handled transfers before
so may well have grappled with the tricky issues that can arise,
however there is still the worry that the law may have changed in
this fast moving area. Alternatively, if you are facing your first
transfer you have the unenviable task of working out what you
really need to know from the wealth of materials
available.
In this session, we will cover the key
issues/questions, for example, what costs should be covered in your
budget when taking on new staff under TUPE? We’ll set out the
“hidden costs” so you can get it right in future and avoid any
nasty surprises. We will also look the significant cases from
2011 and how they should impact upon your approach.
