Little Britain Challenge Cup 2009

I’m sure you will have heard about The Little Britain Challenge Cup Regatta, the largest social and networking event in Europe organised by – and for – the Construction Industry. Almost all of the industry’s major developers, consultants and contractors send teams to the event and most participants are high-level industry professionals and big decision makers. This year it will be held in Cowes, Isle of Wight, between 10-13 September.

Weightmans LLP will be entering a yacht this year.  The 2009 schedule will consist of one short race on Thursday afternoon, two short races on Friday and two short races on Saturday. The Royal Yacht Squadron organise the racing and set the courses – giving competitors the added excitement of Squadron line starts. The excitement, however, is not just water-based. The Little Britain has a massive event marquee on Cowes Yacht Haven where all meals and social activities take place. There are activities planned for every evening; cocktail parties at the Royal Squadron, live music, Friday theme evening and culminating in a Black-tie Gala Dinner on the Saturday night. It’s a well respected industry social event – and great fun!
