Admitted in 1975, Alan has been a partner since 1977 and joined
Weightmans in April 2011.
Alan has over thirty years experience of all aspects of
Insurance law and litigation but is now a commercial and
construction specialist. In those areas he concentrates on
contract, product liability, professional indemnity, fire and all
forms of building and construction disputes and methods of dispute
resolution including arbitration and mediation. Alan also has a
keen interest and is instructed in defamation, fidelity guarantee,
partnership, professional terms of engagement and professional
misconduct matters. This has prompted the development of a
regulatory practice for solicitors, brokers and financial
intermediaries. He is a trained mediator.
Alan is Vice-Chair Lexcel Certification Committee, The Law
Society.
