Qualifying in 2001, David has been a partner since August 2007
and joined Weightmans in April 2011.
David specialises in civil litigation defendant work, working
for UK insurers. He deals with a wide range of catastrophic
personal injury cases, including severe head injury and also subtle
brain damage cases. He has, in the past, had to deal with
quantification of foreign care regimes and has also dealt with
cases involving periodical payment orders, statutory funding
issues, medical negligence disputes and mediation as a form of
dispute resolution.
David also deals with product liability claims and fatal
accident claims.
He is FOIL (Forum of Insurance Lawyers) regional representative
for London & South East and frequently gives presentations on
legal issues to both insurers and multi-national companies alike.
He also presents on Health and Safety matters to companies with a
focus on recent corporate manslaughter legislation and strategies
for addressing workplace claims cultures.
