Paul joins Weightmans from law firm Challinors (prev Cartwright
and Lewis) where he trained and then qualified in 1991. Whilst at
Cartwright & Lewis Paul was made Partner in 1994 and then went
on to become Head of the Personal Injury department on 1999,
working predominately on fatal accident and industrial disease
claims.
His disease experience includes: Dermatitis, Occupational
Asthma, Noise induced hearing loss, Work related upper limb
disorders including hand/arm vibration syndrome, Bladder cancer and
Asbestos related illnesses. Also legionnaires claims and
stress related issues.
Paul has been to the Court of Appeal several times, including
Court of Appeal mediation. He has also been instructed
personally by a major midlands motor manufacturer to deal with
their EL claims and also by two national logistic companies for PL
claims.
Paul is appointed and holds several positions including:
Honorary Solicitor to the British Mountaineering Council
and Legal Advisor to the Birmingham Shooting Centre.
