Formerly with Mace & Jones, Phil has over 14 years'
experience advising on all areas of employment and discrimination
law and has worked in Oxford and London before moving to Manchester
in 2004.
Phil is an experienced advocate who has regularly represented
employers in the Employment Tribunal as well as appearing in the
Employment Appeal Tribunal and before the Central Arbitration
Committee (regarding trade union recognition). Phil has
considerable experience in advising commercial employers in various
industry sectors, public bodies and senior individuals. He has a
particular interest in TUPE and all areas of discrimination,
including disability and age.
Phil has experience of advising employers in a wide range of
different industries and commercial sectors. He has particular
expertise in Healthcare, as well as Education, Social Housing,
Retail, Logistics and Infrastructure Services. He also advises
individuals and has expertise in the employment issues faced by
senior executives and professionals.
Phil is a regular speaker and training provider, both to HR
professionals and as part of in-house sessions and is recommended
by Legal 500.
