Educated at Cheltenham Ladies’ College and
Oxford University, Victoria qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and
was made a partner at Weightmans in 1998.
Her expertise is in dealing with catastrophic
personal injury claims (EL,PL and RTA). Analytical,
hardworking, determined and unflappable she is recognised in the
legal directories as standing out for her legal knowledge and
featured in Chambers UK (2011) as ‘up and coming’ and Legal
500 (2011) as ‘a strong choice for the most difficult
disputes’.
Victoria has experience in dealing with the
full range of catastrophic injuries including spinal injuries
(including tetraplegia and paraplegia), an extensive range of head
injuries (including persistent vegetative state and minimal
awareness cases), amputations, brachial plexus injuries etc.
She also has experience of dealing with the added complexities
where the claimant lives abroad having dealt with high value claims
with claimants resident in Canada, America and the Isle of
Man.
Victoria has lectured widely to the market on
aspects of large loss claims handling. She has had a number
of articles published and is a member of Headway, The Spinal
Injuries Association and FOIL. She has also been a
representative on FOIL’s Special Interest Group – catastrophic
claims.
