Biography

Lauren qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and has experience of all aspects of commercial real estate law including: commercial leasing and lease management (acting on behalf of landlords and tenants); development and regeneration work, assisting on larger site acquisitions and development funding with the wider real estate team; and also has experience in the energy and utilities sector.

She is known for providing timely, commercial advice, keeping the client updated throughout and getting the job done efficiently.

Lauren is also involved in the Social Mobility Foundation Programme where she mentors sixth form students in order to provide opportunities, and networks of support for those who are unable to get them from their schools or families.

Recent experience includes:

  • Acting closely with an existing client to deal with their property portfolio of industrial estates and preparing and negotiating leases, licences, etc;
  • Assisting with the development funding for a site which is to be converted into student accommodation (GDV is £6,600,000). This matter involved dealing with the outgoing lender and arranging discharge of the existing charges as well as dealing with the new lender and satisfying their requirements; and
  • Dealing with section agreements for a key client for their North East and North West developments. This involves negotiating and dealing with issues arising out of section agreements to build contracts and their applicability on site.
