Business Development Team Sweeps into Shortlist at Law
The Business Development team at Liverpool law firm Weightmans
LLP has secured a place on the shortlist for the national Law
Society Excellence awards.
Members of the team will be fighting it out with 5 others in the
Excellence in Marketing and Business Development category at the
awards ceremony, which takes place on 21st October at Old
Billingsgate in London.
The team was shortlisted for its work on a firmwide campaign
focused on enhancing the firm’s client relationship management
(CRM).
Sarah-Jane Howitt, Director of Marketing, nominated the team for
the award:
“The whole team has put in an excellent effort and achieved a
high level of buy-in from members of the firm with their enthusiasm
for the CRM initiative. Their recognition in this shortlist is
certainly well-deserved.”
Business Development Executive Lucy Donaldson said that the
initiative gave the team a real opportunity to employ a fresh and
imaginative approach:
“The success of the initiative was of course our priority but to
then be shortlisted for an award on top of that is wonderful. I’m
looking forward to attending the ceremony with the rest of the
Business Development team; it will be a great evening regardless of
whether or not we win.”
In addition to Lucy, the shortlisted team comprised Head of
Business Development Lorraine Clancy, Business Development Managers
Martine Duma, Peter Abbott, Peter McPartland and Business
Development Executive Chris Thomas.
The Law Society Excellence Awards is an annual awards ceremony
that promotes the hard work and achievements of individuals and
teams within the legal profession.
