Certified as one of Britain's Top Employers
National law firm Weightmans LLP has joined only 57 other
companies in the country to be certified as one of Britain’s Top
Employers for 2011 in the annual assessment by the Corporate
Research Foundation (CRF) Institute.
The firm’s relaxed and friendly environment, approachable
management teams and positive feedback with regards to work-life
balance and well-being were all commended by the CRF Institute.
Weightmans’ Head of HR and Development Sam Airey said:
“We are delighted to have been certified as one of the UK’s top
employers. We are one of the few law firms to have experienced
growth in the past few years, and this is all down to our
members.
“As a business we believe that the success of our people is key,
so this recognition is very important to us.”
The certification identifies Weightmans as a key provider of
outstanding HR policies and as offering excellent working
conditions.
58 organisations in total gained certification in this year’s
Britain’s Top Employers project. Companies were judged on the basis
of their scores in five HR-related areas: Primary Benefits,
Secondary Benefits and Working Conditions, Training and
Development, Career Development, and Company Culture.
Steven Veenendaal, CEO of the CRF Institute said:
“The 58 certified organisations have put the welfare of their
employees at the top of their list of priorities and are doing
exceptionally well in offering their employees the best working
conditions. You will see that translated in the long-term
sustainability of these companies.”
The accolade is the latest in a series for the firm, which was
ranked in the Diversity League Table in 2010 and was also mentioned
in the Best Companies Survey 2010.
The Britain’s Top Employers project is a unique combination of
HR policy-based research, certification and promotion. All
participants have completed a comprehensive research programme
called the HR
Best Practices Survey, designed to give deep insights into a
company’s performance across 11 key areas of HR practice.
