Housing team goes from strength to strength
The social housing team at law firm Weightmans LLP has secured
its second panel appointment in just four weeks.
The team was awarded places on legal panels covering housing
management and employment for City West Housing Trust, which owns
and manages 14,600 homes in West Salford.
The news comes less than a month after the firm secured a six
year contract with registered social housing provider Guinness
Northern Counties Ltd.
Sian Evans, head of the Social Housing Team at Weightmans, says
that this is a positive indicator of the firm’s performance in the
social housing arena.
“We are now competing on par with firms that are nationally
renowned for their social housing expertise and our recent wins are
a testament to the strength of the team,” she said.
The news comes the same week the firm was recognised for its
social housing expertise in the latest edition of Chambers UK- an
independent guide to the top law firms in the UK. The social
housing team was rated in Band 2, with the guide citing its
strengths in ‘all aspects of housing management including
anti-social behaviour, possession, disrepair and service charge
disputes.’
“We have achieved a great deal so far this year.” Sian said. “We
now look forward to building on this success in the coming
months.”
