Turnover up at Weightmans
Turnover at Weightmans LLP reached £58m for the year end April
2011 – an increase of 3.5% on the previous year's result of
£56m.
The firm’s Managing Partner, Patrick Gaul,
commented:
"Overall we are satisfied with the result
given the difficult market conditions for commercial work.
“The
business performed well but it is no secret that our commercial
business line has had a tough year and that a hardening of rates
continues to challenge the way we do business.
“Over the past 12 months we have spent a
significant amount of time preparing the business for the two
recent mergers that have added over 200 people to the headcount at
Weightmans.
“ Iam
very confident about the firm's future and I am delighted with
the quality of people that we have welcomed recently. Everyone is
already working very well together and I expect a good year in
2011/2012."
PEP will
be in the region of £300k.
The firm’s merger with Vizards Wyeth and Mace
& Jones in April and May respectively has propelled
Weightmans towards the top 40 with more than 1,000 people and
projected turnover approaching £80 million
