Weightmans takes the Consortium lead after London panel success
The Local Government team at law firm Weightmans has cause for
celebration as it takes up its sixth local authority panel place in
12 months.
The firm has been appointed to the Outer
London Boroughs Legal Consortium panel where it will represent the
14 members over an initial four year period.
Weightmans was successful in ten different
areas of work namely: Property, Contracts, Housing, Social Care,
Child Care, Commercial, Regulatory, Employment, Litigation and
Environment.
Graeme Creer, partner in the Local Government
team at Weightmans led the tender process and commented:
“This is an excellent achievement
for the team and one which illustrates how broad and diverse our
local authority offering is.
“The pooling of expertise and
resources is sure to generate costs savings and deliver better
results for the member borough councils.
“The Consortium approach, with
partnership at its core, is proving a winning formula for a whole
range of public sector organisations and one which we embrace
wholeheartedly.”
Aside from the ten specific areas of law to
which the firm was appointed, Weightmans will work with the 14
authorities and provide a range of value added services.
