Weightmans continues corporate expansion in London with partner hire

Weightmans LLP has welcomed corporate partner Clare Sellars to its London office. The move comes less than a month after William Sharpe was appointed to lead the Corporate team in the city.

Clare qualified in 1997 and after completing her training, spent a further three years with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP as an Associate in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Department before joining McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP in 2000.

Experienced in a broad range of commercial work, Clare has focused in particular on advising software and IT services providers on contractual arrangements as well as data protection issues in the healthcare sector.

She joins the firm to advise on a wide range of non-contentious matters including intellectual property, information technology, data protection and general commercial law.

Of her appointment, Clare said:
