Weightmans strengthens client focus with new hire
Dedicated to further strengthening ties with key clients,
Weightmans has expanded its business development team with the
appointment of Sarah Gerard who joins the firm with significant
business development credentials.
In her new role as business development manager, Sarah will
primarily be working on a range of CRM, business development and
profile raising initiatives for the firm’s commercial and insurance
business lines.
Recently relocated from London where she was a business
development manager at Speechly Bircham, Sarah will operate out of
the firm's head office in Liverpool.
"When I began looking for a new challenge, Weightmans stood out
as a very attractive proposition. The firm has a strong market
presence and people here are keen to harvest the benefits of
maintaining a strong CRM programme across the board," Sarah
said.
"These are challenging times for the UK's legal sector and those
who make it a priority to develop a range of advisory services that
match the changing needs of their clients will thrive in the age of
the Legal Services Act."
Recently Weightmans' business development team celebrated
victory at the annual Law Society Awards when judges awarded the
firm 'Business Development Initiative of the Year' for its CRM
efforts.
Director of marketing Sarah-Jane Howitt commented: "It is
absolutely essential that the structure and make-up of our business
development and communications teams reflect the strategic
direction of the firm and Sarah's appointment has been very well
received. She brings significant CRM expertise which is and will
continue to be a real focus for us."
Sarah's legal credentials are impressive, with more than five
years spent in the business development departments of some of the
country's leading law firms including Pinsent Masons and Speechly
Bircham.
