Weightmans welcomes a new addition to the family team

Following its merger with Mace & Jones, national law firm Weightmans LLP has strengthened its Manchester family team with the appointment of Mugabi Turya. Mugabi joins as a solicitor from family law specialists Fisher Meredith in London, where he qualified in 2010.

Mugabi specialises in all aspects of family law. He will assist partner Emma Collins and the growing family department in Manchester, advising clients on issues including divorce and issues relating to children, as well as prenuptial and cohabitation agreements.

Commenting on Mugabi’s appointment, Emma said:

“We are thrilled to welcome Mugabi to the team. I am confident that he will be an asset to department at this very busy time. We’re delighted to be working with him.”

Having grown up and studied in Manchester, Mugabi travelled to London to work at Fisher Meredith where he stayed for almost three years before migrating back to the north.

On his arrival at the firm, Mugabi said:
