Apply for vacation scheme

What’s involved?
The vacation scheme consists of two weeks of structured activities which are designed to provide you with an insight into life as a solicitor in a national law firm.  We aim to provide you with the opportunity to work within different areas of legal practice in order to give you exposure to, and experience of, a broad range of cases and working environments.  Please click here to read the experience of one of our past vacation scheme students.

When and where?
Vacation scheme placements are available in our Birmingham, Leicester, Liverpool, London and Manchester offices and will take place over the following dates:
Scheme 1: Monday 25 June to Friday 6 July 2012
Scheme 2: Monday 16 July to Friday 27 July 2012

Who can apply?
Anyone who is:
 Currently studying at university or are a graduate
 Interested in a career in law

What is the application process?
Please download a copy of our application form here and email the completed form to vacationscheme@weightmans.com by 29 February 2012.

We will then perform our selection exercise using the information contained in your application form and will communicate the outcome to you by 30 March 2012.

When applying for our vacation scheme, you will be given the option to have your application considered for one of our 2014 training contracts also. However, if you wish to apply for a 2014 training contract without being considered for our vacation scheme, there is a separate application process for this.  Please click here for details. Please do not use the vacation scheme application process to apply for a training contract only.
