Question Time | E-scooters the “new kid on the travel block”
Small wheels, big headache?
The event is free to attend
As the popularity of e-scooters continues to grow and we are seeing an increasing number of e-scooters on the streets there are many facets to the debate as to whether e-scooters should be legalised in the UK. The ongoing rental trials in cities across the UK are key to gathering evidence to inform future policy decisions.
The accessibility and environmental benefits are obvious. However, this potential shift in travel habits presents a number of challenges to safety, regulation and governance.
Join our panel of experts at our next Question Time debate, who will discuss the issues facing those introducing, governing and policing e-scooters and the legal and practical implications of introducing a new “vulnerable road user” on to the UK highways.
