England China Business Forum (ECBF) and Weightmans have invited a panel of professionals to share their experience and expertise on 'Real Estate Investment and opportunities from China'.

The main speakers will consist of:

  • Ben Raywood, Commercial Research Analyst at Savills, will provide an overview and outlook of the Central London office market. He is responsible for sourcing data both in the investment and occupational markets, giving him an excellent understanding of the current office market. Along with collating the data, Ben also writes frequent public reports, most notably the City Office Market Watch and the City Investment Watch, presents regularly and produces bespoke research for a wide array of international clients.
  • Zo Hoida, Partner at Weightmans, will look at aspects of Chinese policy including the Belt & Road Initiative and the opportunities these present for investment into UK Regeneration projects. Zo has worked on a full range of property matters including acquisitions and disposals, development, landlord and tenant, secured lending and social housing. Zo has acted on several major high profile regeneration projects for local and central government, and for Chinese investors on the purchase, redevelopment and management of investment property.

Other topics that will be covered will be:

  • An overview and outlook of the London residential market
  • Working on a port construction project in Mexico with Chinese clients

The seminar and the panel discussion following the speakers will be moderated by Dr Yeow Poon, the President of England China Business Forum (ECBF).
