Last week was, I am sure, challenging for you both personally and professionally as we all adapted to considerable change as the country faces up to coping with an unprecedented situation. It was no different for us at Weightmans.

Operational resilience

We have reduced the number of our staff who have to spend any time in our offices to an absolute minimum, with over 99% of our people now full-time homeworking. It is very much business as usual for us. We have continued to focus on supporting clients through this difficult period and ensuring that our work for you carries on as normal. I am enormously grateful to all our people who have displayed amazing resourcefulness, creativity and versatility to make sure everything gets done.

We would ask that, where possible, you now communicate with us by telephone or email. We have a very limited number of staff in the office to deal with post, but electronic communications will mean we can respond quickly.

Please also consider if you can move to electronic payments to us which is cheaper and much quicker to process for you and for us.

Finding solutions for you

The COVID-19 outbreak is a constantly evolving situation and we are aware of the many challenges your businesses are facing as a result. Even though we are now operating in a virtual world, our teams are still available for any meetings, or ad hoc discussions with you by telephone or video conference.

We are also continuing with our usual programme of seminars and roundtables which will take place by webinar or video conference. All details can be found on our website

A great many clients and contacts have found our Coronavirus hub very useful. Please also feel free to make use of this resource. We are adding more resources and updates daily which we aim to make as relevant as possible to your sector and would be happy to talk through any specific issues with you as they arise.

If you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact your usual key contact.
