Weightmans lawyer appointed as Judge of the First-tier Tribunal

Weightmans is pleased to announce that Morris Hill has been appointed as a part-time Judge of the First-tier Tribunal.

Weightmans is pleased to announce that Morris Hill has been appointed as a part-time Judge of the First-tier Tribunal.

Morris has been assigned to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber which is responsible for mental health, special educational needs and disability, care standards and primary health list cases.

Morris joined Weightmans in 2007, having previously spent 10 years working for in-house local authority teams, latterly as a principal solicitor. He will remain part of Weightmans’ Regulatory Team and will continue to act in all aspects of public law, with a particular emphasis on social care, healthcare and education.

Of his appointment, he said:

"It is a great honour to have been selected to be a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal. I look forward to this new challenge whilst continuing to support colleagues and clients at Weightmans. Competition for these positions is understandably high and I am delighted to have been appointed."
