Two new Partners for Weightmans as firm keeps up fast pace of high level recruitment

National law firm Weightmans has appointed Partners Chris Doran and Robert Whitehead as the firm continues to grow and diversify its national offering.

Chris Doran

Chris (pictured top), who joined the firm from DAC Beachcroft, specialises in all forms of international and domestic construction and engineering disputes. 

Noted by legal directory Chambers and Partners UK as ‘well versed in handling general contractual, insurance and commercial claims in the construction arena’, Chris works with a variety of clients across the firm’s Insurance and Built Environment divisions, encompassing both private and public sector work.

Dispute Resolution expert Robert (pictured bottom) joins Weightmans’ Insurance team acting principally for insurers, MGAs and Lloyd’s syndicates, managing claims on behalf of insurers. A member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Robert arrives at the firm from Shulmans.

In his wider practice, Robert mainly deals with high-value commercial and professional practice disputes and disputes relating to the development of land.Robert Whitehead

He is based in Leeds but spends time in the Weightmans’ London office due to the national reach of his clients and expertise. He has conducted a number of successful mediations leading to cost-effective and early settlement of claims without trial.
