Kellie specialises in defending fraudulent motor claims of all types with a particular interest in staged/contrived accidents and indemnity work. She has over 20 years' experience in dealing with litigated claims. She successfully led the defence on a £1m fraud ring (Operation Nastase) resulting in all cases being struck out, discontinued or won at trial. Kellie also acted in Isik v Clegg (2007) which involved the judge finding against the claimant in a Low Velocity Impact case where the claimant had not disclosed previous accidents. Also in Ahmed v Lalik & Co-op (2014) which involved an appeal judge dismissing an unsuccessful claimant's appeal that the failure to plead fraud should have precluded the judge from dismissing his claim at first instance.
