What happens when a reasonable adjustment works initially, but later becomes difficult to sustain? Or when one request leads to another and nobody is quite sure what remains temporary, what has become permanent, or whether the arrangement is still effective? Or when it’s perceived these requests are not genuine or being used tactically?
Join Paman Singh, and Ashley Powis, for a practical session on managing the reasonable adjustment requests that become difficult.
We’ll cover:
identifying the workplace disadvantage, rather than focusing only on the diagnosis;
using Occupational Health advice without treating it as the decision-maker;
managing repeated requests, absence, performance and the impact on colleagues;
distinguishing reasonable adjustments from flexible working requests; and
answering any questions which arise in the session.
The session will use practical scenarios and Tribunal lessons to give employers a clearer framework for making and recording decisions.
Date: Thursday 29 October 2026
Time: 12pm - 1pm
Please note that this session is free to attend.
