Weightmans has announced the appointment of Ben Hibbs as its new Head of Client Delivery in Large Loss, based in its London office. The appointment underscores Weightmans’ strategic intent to invest in a rapidly expanding area of its insurance practice, following significant financial growth in 2026 and a series of key hires across specialist teams.

With over 25 years’ experience managing some of the UK’s most complex and high-value insurance claims in motor and casualty, Ben brings a wealth of expertise to the role. He has held leadership positions at major insurers including Churchill, LV/Allianz, and DLG, most recently leading a large team of Major Loss Handlers and overseeing a significant claims portfolio.

He brings deep expertise in large loss insurance and possesses a strong grasp of client expectations. His track record in leadership and his enthusiasm for leveraging data and technology to achieve better results and support talent development are notable.

“This appointment further strengthens our Insurance practice and underlines our dedication to adapting to the evolving needs of our clients.”

Speaking on his appointment, Ben Hibbs said: “I’m excited to join Weightmans and its market-leading team, and I look forward to using my experience to enhance client service and support the firm’s growth strategy.”
