Andrew joined Weightmans in 2026 as a Partner in the Insurance team.
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the defence of claims against professionals, including architects, design and build contractors, consulting engineers of all disciplines, surveyors, valuers, insurance brokers and accountants. He has a particular focus on the defence of claims against construction professionals and design and build contractors, as well as contractual issues, both contentious and non-contentious. He is currently acting on several claims involving cladding issues.
Andrew also undertakes recovery actions on behalf of insurers and their policyholders, provides coverage advice and represents insurers in challenges to declinature of indemnity. He assists clients in achieving commercially driven outcomes outside the confines of litigation and is well‑versed in the full range of dispute resolution options, including arbitration, adjudication, mediation and court proceedings.
