Ann-Marie Mercer

Ann-Marie joined Weightmans in 2007 and was admitted as a solicitor in 2010. Ann-Marie now manages the Data Science and Strategy Support function of Weightmans’ Data Services. 

Ann-Marie’s role is to engage with clients to determine their data challenges and how Weightmans can support them with solutions. This includes the provision of regular insights reports to key clients to guide decisions on claims handling strategies, the allocation of risk management resources and forecasting, based on market trends.

Ann-Marie supports the firm’s data scientists in developing tools to enhance our client service and internal solutions to drive efficiencies, using the latest data analytics software and Artificial Intelligence technologies.

Ann-Marie is involved in key internal projects, enabling the firm to make data driven decisions on key strategies with confidence. Ann-Marie also assists with case management system improvements that maximise opportunities for automation, to streamline the claims handling process for our lawyers and ensure that the firm is capturing the right data for its clients and internal operations.

Data Services is committed to continually enhancing the firm’s data offering to its clients, ensuring that reporting continues to deliver key insights and maximises technological benefits. 

Data Services has previously collaborated with our clients on mutually beneficial data visualisation and data science initiatives and continues to explore new opportunities.
