Anthony Chinn

Anthony Chinn is an Associate, based in Weightmans Liverpool office.

Anthony specialises in defending professional negligence claims, such as claims against solicitors, accountants, construction professionals, and estate agents. Anthony also has experience handling matters arising from Directors & Officers insurance policies.

For example, Anthony’s work in defending solicitors has covered claims arising from a variety of underlying legal disputes, such as in relation to probate and wills, property litigation, family law, commercial litigation, personal injury, employment law and more.

Anthony has experience dealing with different Courts and Tribunals including claims in the County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber). He also has expertise dealing with complaints to the Legal and Financial Ombudsman.

Working with insurers and their insureds, Anthony has gained exposure to clients in a variety of industries, such as law, IT, construction, education and the public sector. Anthony was also seconded to an international insurer in a previous role.

Outside of work, Anthony is a coffee enthusiast who takes pride in his home barista setup and enjoys spending time with his family (and two cats).
