Biography

Dan is an experienced litigation lawyer and an Associate in our clinical negligence team based in our London office. For a number of years, he has specialised in clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS Resolution, NHS trusts and individual clinicians. He deals with many complex, often high-profile and sensitive, higher-value multi-million pound cases. He has experience in cases involving many medical conditions and expert specialisms including brain injury, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, cardiology, paediatrics and psychiatry.

He has significant experience in fatal claims as well as birth injury cases, claims involving protected parties, misdiagnosis/delayed diagnosis of cancer, and cases involving amputations. He also manages cases involving spinal injury/paralysis. 

Dan has also practiced in personal injury litigation acting for both defendants and claimants. He has dealt with claims involving catastrophic injuries. He has also dealt with claims involving industrial disease to include occupational stress, deafness and injuries sustained as a result of exposure to asbestos. He has undertaken advisory work for local authorities relating to pre-proceedings investigations and risk management issues. He has also acted for legal expenses insurers in respect of claims involving contractual and insurance policy disputes. He has dealt with litigation costs, to include representing clients at detailed assessment hearings.

Dan has experience of multi-party actions. He acted for all 30 claimants in a group action arising out of the M4 coach disaster.
