Frances Brickwood

Frances completed her training contract at Dixon Ward Solicitors in Richmond, South West London and is now a solicitor in our wills, trusts and estates team based in our Birmingham office. She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Frances has experience in administering estates including applying for the Grant of Probate or Grant of Letters of Administration on testate and intestate estates as well as administering both taxable and non-taxable estates. Frances is experienced in reporting lifetime gifts to HMRC on high net worth estates.

Frances also has experience in administering trusts including discretionary trusts, life interest trusts and bare trusts.

Frances assists clients with preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney and advising on the operation of Powers.

Frances is experienced in drafting Wills to meet the individual needs of her clients and advising on the operation of inheritance tax.

Frances also has experience in handling professional financial Court of Protection deputyships and ancillary applications to the Court of Protection such as to approve a Deed of Variation for tax planning.

Frances has a diligent and calm approach towards her work. Frances takes care to give clear and concise advice and is mindful of the particular needs of each client.
