Sam joined Weightmans in September 2013 having previously worked as a claimant clinical negligence lawyer for a number of years. Sam specialises in health related legal services and particularly defending clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS Trusts.
Sam is an accomplished litigator; the majority of his cases are high value and involve complex medical and legal issues. Sam has handled cases with values exceeding £10 million.
Sam has a reputation for dealing with claims pragmatically and collaboratively and is adept at resolving difficult claims through alternative dispute resolution and mediation.
Sam has developed a niche specialism in claims arising from disease contamination following organ transplant and claims arising from nerve injury following blood transfusion. In addition Sam regularly deals with claims involving:
