Biography

Sarah was originally called to the Bar after completion of the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law, but cross-qualified as a Solicitor in 2003.

Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in the personal injury field (the last 14 years as a defendant). She specialises in technical and complex credit hire claims.

Sarah undertook a secondment with a major insurer working on their credit hire processes, which gave her a valuable insight into all aspects of credit hire and her clients’ key objectives and needs.

Her notable cases include:

  • Corbett v Gaskin (2007);
  • Bent v Highways & Utilities Construction (2010);
  • Pattni v First Leicester Buses (2011); and
  • Accident Exchange + 1 other v Colin McLean + others (2018).

She is the author of the credit hire chapter of Binghams & Berrymans and a member (and former head) of the FOIL Motor (Credit Hire) sector focus team.
