Sarah is a Partner in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team at Weightmans. Sarah trained and qualified at Eversheds Sutherland in its Manchester office and has over 16 years' experience of dealing with a variety of commercial disputes. Sarah’s recent work has included advising on a number of judicial review claims, complex contract disputes and infringement of intellectual property rights dealing with litigation in the Administrative Court and different lists of the Business and Property Courts both in London and the regions.
Sarah has experience of a broad range of disputes with particular specialisms in judicial review claims, complex contractual claims (termination issues, contract interpretation including on matters of force majeure and frustration and enforcement), intellectual property infringement, IT disputes, corporate fraud and wrongdoing, defamation and reputation management issues, company/shareholder disputes including unfair prejudice claims and issues arising from restrictive covenants and restraint of trade provisions.
Sarah also has extensive experience of the range of alternative dispute resolution options and has successfully assisted many clients to settle disputes both prior to and during litigation. Sarah can assist clients with consideration of funding options which includes third party funding, conditional fee agreements and after the event insurance.
Sarah acts for a range of clients including private individuals, large international corporations, SMEs, registered charities, local authorities, schools, colleges and universities.
Sarah has responsibility for management of the sizeable Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Liverpool which encompasses over 20 expert dispute lawyers.
