Simon Kernyckyj

Formerly of RadcliffesLeBrasseur, Simon is a Partner in our Healthcare Regulation team based in Leeds. He has substantial experience in advising and representing doctors and dentists in criminal, disciplinary, regulatory and employment spheres.

He regularly appears as an advocate at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (GMC), GDC hearings, NHS Hearings for both primary and secondary care, at inquests, the magistrate’s court and other investigatory meetings, interviews and hearings.

He also has experience in other areas involving trading standards, health and safety, the CQC, Court of Protection, employment, judicial review and data protection.

Simon has significant experience of property, commercial, tax, banking, restructuring and other areas related to commercial and residential property development businesses. His practice includes:

Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1989. He joined RadcliffesLeBrasseur in Leeds originally in 1995 and made partner in 2001. From 2004-2009 he was in-house counsel for a Leeds property development group, returning to RadcliffesLeBrasseur in September 2009. He joined Weightmans as part of the merger between Weightmans and RadcliffesLeBrasseur in March 2022.
