Abuse, banter and behaviour are now boardroom issues.
What has traditionally been dismissed as “just banter” or accepted as “part of the job” is increasingly becoming a source of legal, cultural and reputational risk for transport and logistics businesses. With significant workplace reforms on the horizon, employers will be legally required to move beyond simply reacting to problems and instead demonstrate the proactive steps they have taken to protect their people, not only from other employees, but also from third parties.
From abuse by customers, suppliers, contractors and members of the public, to preventing sexual harassment and preparing for wider unfair dismissal rights, expectations on employers are changing.
Policies alone will no longer be enough. Businesses will need to show that managers are equipped, concerns are acted upon, and all reasonable steps have been taken to create a safe and respectful working environment.
Join us for a practical session built specifically for the Transport and Logistics sector.
Using real-world examples and scenarios, we’ll explore what good employers are doing now to protect their people, strengthen workplace culture and safeguard their reputation. Topics will include third-party harassment, workplace “banter”, sexual harassment prevention, investigations, manager capability and preparing for the changing unfair dismissal landscape.
Attendees will leave with practical actions and a roadmap for protecting their drivers, their people and their business—not just a summary of the law.
