Clive Mottram

Clive is a former general counsel of Severn Trent Water, specialising in water sector law and regulation.

He has 35 years’ experience in the water sector, both in-house and in private practice, and has a detailed knowledge of regulatory and operational matters affecting the water industry. Spending just over two decades at Severn Trent Water, he worked on a wide range of commercial and corporate issues and provided specialist advice on the regulatory provisions governing the sector.

During this time, Clive was recognised by leading legal directories Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, commended for his significant experience in and knowledge of the water industry.

In private practice, Clive not only works with clients in the water sector, but also advises businesses in other sectors looking for advice on their obligations around water and wastewater law and regulation.
