Seven Weightmans' team members make Thomson Reuters’ Stand Out Lawyers list

Seven team members at Weightmans have been named ‘Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyers’, after being nominated by their clients.

As part of Thomson Reuters’ annual Sharplegal study, examining global legal performance, more than 2,000 senior in-house lawyers around the world are invited to nominate up to three lawyers from law firms they’ve worked with that have stood out and made an exceptional impact.

In the 2024 edition, the following Weightmans’ lawyers have been included on the list:

  • Anna Naylor, Leeds-based partner and regulatory defence lawyer
  • Chris Doran, London-based partner and construction and engineering disputes specialist
  • Jawaid Rehman, Birmingham-based partner, office head and employment lawyer
  • Matthew Williamson, Liverpool-based partner and head of our corporate segment
  • Richard Palmer, Newcastle-based partner and professional indemnity lawyer
  • Sarah Conroy, Liverpool-based partner and dispute resolution solicitor
  • Mark Foster, Birmingham-based associate, part of the EPI team

Managing partner, John Schorah

Managing partner, John Schorah said: “This is a brilliant result for the firm, and the lawyers that have been nominated.

“What makes this list particularly important is that every lawyer named has been chosen solely on the basis of client testimonials – a reflection of just how much their skill, expertise and approach is valued, and the great outcomes that they’re delivering.

“Congratulations to all who have been named.”
