Jason Slatcher is a visionary IT expert with over 20 years’ experience in the industry
Weightmans has appointed Jason Slatcher as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a member of the firm’s Board. He will play a key strategic role in the firm’s technology and business transformation.
Jason rejoined Weightmans as Interim IT Director in April 2026. His appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment in technology and innovation, including the implementation of Clio Operate as its new case and matter management platform, and a cloud migration programme delivered in partnership with ANS.
Sarah Walton, Managing Partner, said:
“Jason is a trusted leader and has been working closely with colleagues across the business to help shape the next phase of our technology and business strategy. Technology is one of the firm's four strategic priorities and Jason will play a critical role in helping us deliver our ambitions in this area and ensuring we continue to provide an exceptional service to our clients."
Jason Slatcher, Chief Technology Officer, said:
“Having worked with the firm in several technology leadership positions, I have seen first-hand what makes this firm so special. It is a business with amazing people, a brilliant culture, and has a real ambition for the future. I’m incredibly proud to be joining the Board and excited about what we can all achieve together.”
Stuart Whittle steps down as CTO and from the Board but will continue as an Equity Partner until his retirement in March 2027. He will remain closely involved in several strategic projects, including acting as Product Owner for Clio Operate, where his experience and knowledge will continue to be invaluable.
Sarah added:
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Stuart for the outstanding contribution he has made to Weightmans, including his time on the Board. He has been instrumental in the firm's growth and development over the years, and his expertise, commitment and leadership have left a lasting mark on the business.”
Weightmans recently reported record results for the 2025/26 financial year, with revenue increasing by 12% to £162 million and net profit rising by 17% to £17 million. The results mark the firm's fifth consecutive year of growth and reflect continued disciplined progress against its strategy.
