We are delighted to announce that Partners Saira Ali and Ian Pace will be running the next in our series of employment law seminars, on disciplinary and appeal hearings, at our Manchester office, on 23 May 2024. 

The seminar will provide an overview of the practical steps that should be taken during disciplinary and appeal hearings and will also consider some of the more tricky issues that may arise during a disciplinary or appeal process, including:

• Considering the roles of those involved in a disciplinary hearing 
• The role of HR in the disciplinary process
• Practical steps and matters to consider if you are a panel member at a disciplinary hearing
• Unfair dismissal – the legal principles 
• Evidence obtained during a disciplinary investigation
• The approach to the grounds of appeal  
• Practical issues arising during the appeal process 
• Employment Tribunals – managing the risk 

There will also be breakfast items and drinks available. This event is free to attend. Registration is from 8:30am and the event will start at 9:00am
