Brendan Russell is a desk support for the Spanish International Desk at Weightmans. He is also a paralegal in the Regulatory Social Care and Governance team based in the Liverpool Office.

Brendan Russell is an experienced Paralegal in the Regulatory Social Care and Governance team, Brendan has two years’ experience across education, childcare and adult social care cases. In this role, he supports solicitors with the progression of complex matters. He also undertakes case management responsibilities; liaising closely with clients and drafting legal documentation including applications and orders. Brendan adopts an organised approach to his work to comply with strict court directions and achieve successful outcomes for Weightmans and their clients.


Brendan is also a desk support for the Spanish International Desk at Weightmans. He is fluent in Spanish and has obtained a level B 2 Spanish qualification, having studied Spanish law at the Universidad de Sevilla. As such he is able to engage confidently in work in Spanish. As part of the desk support role, Brendan works alongside Spanish partner firms and clients to harbour closer partnerships in order to increase Weightmans’ international visibility. He played a pivotal role in the development of the Spanish International Desk business plan. He currently organises targeted campaigns and analyses case referrals to identify opportunities for growth. This is all in support of Weightmans’ expanding Spanish presence.


In addition to his legal and international work, Brendan is an active member of the Weightmans Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee. He helps organise and participate in CSR initiatives such as the Right to Read programme, supporting disadvantaged children in a local school.
