New hires strengthen Insurance and Corporates teams, reinforcing commitment to growth and client excellence
Weightmans has announced the appointment of two distinguished partners, Nigel Adams and Rehman Noormohamed, to its London office.
These strategic hires represent a significant milestone in the firm’s ongoing expansion and reflect Weightmans’ dedication to providing the highest quality legal services to clients regionally and internationally.
Nigel joins Weightmans from DAC Beachcroft, where he was also a partner. Nigel specialises in insurance litigation, managing high-value and complex claims for a broad spectrum of insurer and broker clients. The appointment strengthens the firm’s renowned Large Loss department in London, bolstering the team’s capabilities in major insurance matters. It also marks a return to the firm for Nigel, where he served as an Associate Solicitor from 2010-2015.
Rehman joins Weightmans as a leading commercial, AI/technology, telecoms, data and IP lawyer, and follows his time at Fieldfisher LLP, where he served as a partner in the International Technology and Data team. He has dual qualifications both as a lawyer and as an electronic and communication engineer. With a background in IT and telecoms consulting and as a CIO, Rehman is also a professional member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and British Computer Society (where he sits on BCS’ Community Board). His unique expertise and insights will further enhance the firm’s deep capability in complex technology /IP matters.

The news follows the appointment of Caroline Johnson as the firm’s new Claims Director and Executive Board Member, and who is also based in the London office.
With more than 30 years’ experience in the Insurance sector, the former Claims Director at Allianz Personal will advance Weightmans’ ongoing commitment to growing its Claims expertise and supporting its Claims clients with industry-leading knowledge and service.
