Weightmans appointed to legal services panel to support Sanctuary

Weightmans has been appointed to Sanctuary’s Legal Services Panel.

Following a competitive tender process, the Top 40 law firm was one of several companies appointed to the framework. Weightmans will provide advice and support in relation to a range of areas including housing condition claims, tenancy issues and non-contentious housing management matters.

The framework runs for four years until April 2028.

Sian Evans, partner at Weightmans, said:

“We’re thrilled to join the legal panel to deliver solutions on a wide range of matters for Sanctuary. This is testament to the expertise of our teams and our ability to provide advice and counsel to organisations where transparency and trust are critical.

“The housing sector in the UK is under ever-increasing pressure to deliver more, and at pace, so we’re proud to play a part in supporting Sanctuary to deliver the best possible services to its people and customers, both current and future.”

Sanctuary was formed more than 50 years ago and currently owns and manages more than 125,000 units of accommodation, providing housing and care in England and Scotland to more than a quarter of a million people.

Jo Hodgetts, Sanctuary’s head of Legal Services, said:

“Our mission is to provide affordable homes and sustainable communities in places where people choose to live. To enable us to best deliver on that social purpose, it’s essential our values are reflected not just across our own organisation, but also in the partners we work with.”

Weightmans is an established partner to the UK’s property and built environment sector.
