Carly joined Weightmans in 2012 as a trainee and qualified into the Birmingham healthcare team in 2014. She was promoted a Principal Associate in 2025.
Carly advises NHS Resolution, NHS trusts, medical defence organisations and general practitioners on clinical negligence claims. Her practice covers a variety of maximum severity clinical negligence disputes including catastrophic birth/neurological injuries, cauda equina, amputations and ‘never events’. She advises on claims involving complex multi-party indemnity disputes, human rights and cases with values exceeding £26 million. She has been involved in several high-profile group actions and CQC investigations. Carly is a supervisor for junior members of the healthcare team.
