Charlie specialises in multi track motor claims presently, although in the past has acted in public liability and employers' liability cases, together with criminal matters. He has had considerable experience recently in dealing with unintended acceleration and alleged power surge cases for bus companies.

Clients Charlie has acted for include Sabre, Coris UK, Mapfre Insurance, Quinn, Gallagher Bassett, Axa Corporate Solutions, Mainland Car Deliveries, Arriva, Travel West Midlands, The Metropolitan Police, Merseyside Police and Cheshire Police.

Charlie has also been Chairman of the FOIL Motor Special Interest Group and was President of the Liverpool Law Society 2008- 2009. He also sits on the committee of the Liverpool branch of The Lords Taverners (being a past chair), and is very actively involved in raising funds for charity, both for that Charity and through the Weightmans nominated charities.

Charlie is the Co Law Society Council Member for Merseyside and District, and also sits on 3 Law Society Committees: Membership Board, Civil Justice, and The Law Society Gazette Editorial Advisory Board.

He is a member of the General Council of The RNLI, and sits on The Honorary Medical Advisory Panel for the DVLA advising on Driving and Disorders of the Nervous System.

Outside of work, Charlie enjoys all sport, music and fund raising. He has skied in Kashmir, Japan, Macedonia and Canada, and sailed in Regattas in Genoa, Key West, New York and Cork. He has a passion for Irish Rugby, and has performed with two live bands.

His career at Weightmans LLP has spanned eight Senior Partners.
