Joanne Williams

Based in the Manchester office, Joanne was promoted to Legal Director as of May 2022, having qualified into the commercial litigation team at Weightmans in 2008.

Over recent years Joanne has developed a clear specialism in complex, high-value property damage claims as well as professional negligence and professional indemnity work, predominantly acting for large insurers, both defending and pursuing claims.

Joanne also has extensive experience in dealing with technical coverage disputes on behalf of insurers as well as pursuing high-value subrogated recoveries.

Joanne is regularly involved in all types of alternative dispute resolution, resolving a number of claims for her clients through mediation and at without prejudice meetings.
