John-Paul works in the Wills, Trusts and Estates team based in our Liverpool office and deals with a variety of Private Client matters.
John-Paul is a Private Client specialist and advises on all Tax Planning, Trust, Wills and Probate matters, putting his client's needs first. He has a broad experience of working with clients from various backgrounds to provide advice in all areas of lifetime and post-death tax planning. He also brings to the team specialist experience of working with the Office of the Public Guardian and Court of Protection and advising clients on the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
John-Paul has a great deal of experience dealing with Court of Protection applications for people applying to become deputy to deal with family member’s affairs, other complex matters where a professional deputy is needed or further ancillary Court applications including Statutory Wills and Inheritance Tax planning for Court of Protection clients. John-Paul is a registered member of the National Association of Solicitors for the Elderly and is a professional trustee for various family trusts, acts as an attorney for elderly clients and has been appointed by the Office of the Public Guardian to act as a professional deputy for clients with varying capacity issues and/or safeguarding concerns.
John-Paul works closely with the firm's Owner Managed Business and Family teams and often with accountants, independent financial advisors and other professionals to help ensure his clients’ overall objectives are achieved. John-Paul also manages the development of relationships with existing clients and organisations, as well as developing new opportunities and ensuring that the team continues to deliver a high level of service to all clients. John-Paul has been interviewed on BBC Radio Merseyside about contested estates and has been quoted in the National Press regarding estate planning and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
