Biography

Katie is a costs lawyer based within the casualty team which means she provides a service specialising in costs relating specifically to casualty cases. Not only does she provide costs assistance when dealing with inter parties costs following the conclusion of a substantive action but she provides technical assistance during case management. When assisting during case management, she is experienced in both the budgeting process and advocacy.

Katie qualified as a costs lawyer in 2010 which means that she has rights of audience and authority to conduct costs litigation. Prior to becoming a costs lawyer, Katie was a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsman (now known as the Association of Costs Lawyers).

With over 18 years' costs experience, Katie has both claimant and defendant experience and has dealt with all aspects of the Detailed Assessment process in a variety of different areas of law.
