Laurence joined Weightmans as a commercial partner and head of competition law in 2012.
Laurence advises clients on EC and UK competition law, including merger control and the control of anti-competitive agreements and practices. Laurence has successfully handled a number of high profile investigations and inquiries by the European Commission, the Competition and Markets Authority, the Office of Fair Trading and the Competition Commission in relation to a wide range of sectors.
Laurence is named as an expert in EU & Competition Law in the annual Legal Business list of Legal Experts. He was invited by the OFT to take part in its survey of leading competition law advisers as part of its research project on the deterrent effect of UK competition enforcement. In 2009, Laurence participated in the Competition Commission's evaluation of its levels of service.
Laurence is described in the Legal 500 as having "vast experience [of] handling OFT investigations and Competition Commission inquiries".
